Compared to Switch 1 it feels a lot more premium, in everything from the look of it to the new magnetic Joycon connections to the larger screen.

Setup was relatively painless for a modern device thankfully, (still miss the days of plug and play though) and the graphical bump is substantial.

I'm very happy with it so far.

My thoughts exactly after spending this evening with the console. Switch 1 feels like a toy now...

As far as games go, I'm loving Mario Kart World so far. The concept of racing to the next course is really interesting and free mode is full of secrets and missions. I haven't even touched online yet. So much to unlock, to play, to discover. And those that say it looks just like MK8D really need a new pair of glasses. The difference is substantial.

Gamecube... I played a bit of Wind Waker. First impressions are not very positive: I miss Wind Waker HD visual, gameplay and music enhancements, inverted camera is a pain in the ass to get used to and worst of all: it has significant input lag. There's no fixing my Wii U complaints, but I hope they fix the input lag and the camera in a future update (at least give me an option to change it).

Deltarune... OMFG was the wait worth it. Chapter 3 demolished my heart in the first 5 minutes and proceed to make me laugh like a madman just after that. Not to mention the very noticiable increase in production value. Toby Fox is a fucking genius.

I also tried a few Switch 1 games that struggled to maintain a stable framerate and had dynamic resultions like NEO: TWEWY, Bayonetta 3 and BotW (the forest area). All gone. Everything runs smooth as butter. Obviously the resolution ceiling is what it is in many cases, but the games run at the best of their capabilities and that's great news to me.

Speaking of BotW, I tried the Switch 2 Edition and jesus christ in a bicycle does it look and run like a dream. Those 60fps feel amazing and the bump in resolution + HDR really makes the graphics pop up both in handheld and dock.

All in all, I'm having a great time with the new console, save for some little stains (mainly Wind Waker being terrible). There's so much to play. Very few times I bought a console at launch and had so much shit to play (and so good)!
