The Switch 2 is definitely the definition of bigger and better lol. I'm even seeing a lot of posts about Switch 1 games that didn't even receive a patch are now running at 60fps. So it sounds like games are just taking advantage of the better horsepower.

Love how much bigger it is to hold! The first Switch was annoying to hold in long play sessions in handheld.

So basically, a Switch Pro.

Just the spec upgrade alone is next-gen. Pro models are only modest upgrades that still retain most of the core consoles hardware, but upgrades in certain areas and are still capable of running all of that console's games. Like PS4 to PS4 Pro. All the games are able to played on both systems. Switch 1 to Switch 2 is substantial. There's no way the likes of CP2077 could've been made on the Switch 1 for example. Or even seeing how destructible the environments are in DK Bananza, I have a hard time thinking a game like that would've been possible on the Switch 1 either.

So while the older games able to take advantage of the extra horsepower is a nice bonus, the multitude of Switch 2 only games would not be able to play on the Switch 1. The console is deserving of that "2" in the name.
