I watched a teardown of Switch 2 and to be honest even if I wanted to change it myself it looks really difficult to get to it. The person took it apart but I don't yet know if it will work when he puts it back together. Fingers crossed it will and Nintendo aren't as aggressive with protection as many have feared. At worst the firmware will need re-flashing but you have to access Nintendo's servers to do so and you will get all sorts of warnings for disconnecting the battery and perhaps can only do this one or two times before you lose access or have to pay for a reflash. I'm trying to melt down lots of different posts from different sources regarding this so may not have got the full picture yet. Some things are confirmed like the terms and conditions being a bit more aggressive. However I will be happy if when rebuilt it works normally. I guess the console may be flagged as one that has been altered/taken apart so perhaps Nintendo will keep an eye on it more so by doing a teardown you get Nintendo's attention.
