40 planes damaged or destroyed, that's absolutely huge. Even if Russia were still producing those planes, it would still take them the better half of a decade just to replace the losses from this operation.
With all the losses in this war, Russia will need at least 2 decades just to replace the material losses and get it's army equipped with armored vehicles again. But still some like Trump still just see the pre-war Russia and can't understand that their nukes is everything they have left and the rest is all down the gutter.
