A few people have got Switch 2's early but no functions until the day one update

I recall recently someone bought a boxed PSP (Maybe Metal Jesus Rocks on Youtube?), the battery had "expanded" but once replaced it was a brand new device.

But this is also why I prefer the Xbox's approach of using AA batteries.
