This is the correct and obvious answer.
Zero NEED for it to be $80. They'd make billions in profit on this game at $60. But after the success of the Switch and never needing to discount hardware nor software, Nintendo is extremely cocky and greedy and think they can charge any crazy price next gen. Hence all the crazy HW and SW prices for Switch 2. I'm hoping the consumers prove them wrong and they end up in a less extreme 3DS type situation by next year and have to drop prices on everything which would be a win for everybody. Consumers need to bring Nintendo back to reality.
