EU leaders are worried Trump’s stepping back from Ukraine peace efforts — and letting Putin call the shots. After calls with both leaders, Trump said Russia & Ukraine will "immediately start negotiations,â€Â but one EU official said it’s clear he’s “not ready to put greater pressureâ€Â on Moscow.

🇺🇸❌ The US is unlikely to impose new sanctions against Russia at this time, - The Times.

During conversation with Putin, Trump maintained a soft position, instead of the promised "tough" sanctions, he described the conversation as "great" and called Russia a country with "great trade potential".

Time for the EU to delay things another 20 months in the hopes they can talk Trump over. This time, attempt number 2000 will surely work! Or maybe EU needs to stop acting like a bitch and step the fuck up and start soloing this shit because clearly America is either compromised or emotionally incapable of standing up to Putin.

Or Europe can just virtue single they are the good guys, by doing as little as possible and not start world war 3. Aside from direct military intervention I don't see any way Europe stopping this shit. Even if Russian troops are kicked out of Russia, Russia could easily rain down missiles on Ukraine and Europe from Russia itself. And I doubt Putin takes kindly to European jets entering Russian airspace.

There's just not enough who sign up to military service in Europe.

Case in point: Here in Luxembourg I hear the the ads for the Army almost on a daily basis, but we still only have about 1000 soldiers total. Without enough soldiers there's not much Europe can do directly.

That being said, I would have suggested a loophole: Trump wants military spending to go up to 5% GDP? Okay, let's do it, spend a lot on new equipment... and send that one directly to Ukraine! There's not enough soldiers to man the new equipment anyway, so why bother putting them into storage, just make good use of it!
