Does the Nintendo Switch 2 need GTA6 in order to survive?

Something went wrong here. You need the [Switch 2] to play [Mario and Zelda sequels], but people “will just stick to their old Switch [1] to play them”. How again are people gonna play something on a device that doesn’t have it?

It was obvious what I meant, you're just being awkward. All the main franchises already exist on Switch 1. Yes, they won't be able to play the newest game in that franchise if it's exclusive to Switch 2, but most people I think are just going to stick with Switch 1 instead of buying Nintendo's most expensive system ever.
