Mario Maker was in my opinion the only reason to own a WiiU. The second game in the series are similar enough for to almost count as a port with added content. But the original had better controls.
Nintendo land is an interesting case as well. It looked (to me) unappealing but the people who actually got around to play it loved it. It made good use of the hardware. I feel like some years from now that will be the game people hold on to their WiiU for or try to get one.
