NVIDIA Has Implemented a Massive Price Hike Across Its AI/Gaming GPU Offerings To Maximize Profitability & Counter Losses From China

https://wccftech.com/nvidia-has-implemented-a-massive-price-hike-across-its-ai-gaming-gpus/

Meanwhile in Europe, the prices keep dropping:

  • 5060Ti 8GB: 383€ (down from 399€)
  • 5060Ti 16GB: 442€ (down from 449€)
  • 5070: 590€ (down from 599€)
  • 5070Ti: 835€ (down from 869€)
  • 5080: 1119€ (down from 1249€)
  • 5090: 2749€ (down from 2829€)

At the same time, AMD RDNA4 GPUs are selling out pretty much the moment they come in. Their 9070 models can't be bought (probably reserved for system-building, cheapest of those would otherwise be 636€) and of their 9070XT, only one is available, the Powercolor Hellhound Spectral White at 766€

Maxsun EEC Registration Confirms RTX 5050 With 8 GB VRAM Capacity; Also Confirms A 24 GB Arc B580 GPU

Multiple GeForce RTX 5060 Editions Listed On A Major Retailer: Starting At $299 And Up To $409 For OC Editions

https://wccftech.com/multiple-geforce-rtx-5060-editions-listed-on-best-buy/

The 5050 being a very budget-oriented card, so here I don't mind the 8GB VRAM so much, but the 5060/Ti 8B (and upcoming 9060/XT 8GB cards) need to die quickly, that's simply not enough anymore nowadays for anything that's supposed to be midrange.

$299 seems like an okay price, $409 would be above the cheapest 5060Ti variants, so truly a waste of sand at that point. It also makes me wonder what price the 5050 would have. If it's $199, it would actually be a decent budget card, but anything above would be too much.
