The information we have is that CPU performance is higher in portable mode and this would surely indicate most if not all portable games that are quite demanding are upscaling from quite a low resolution. The fact CPU performance is higher and DLSS requires more CPU processing depending on how low a resolution it starts from surely indicates most portable games have a low native resolution. If you factor in the battery capacity and the fabrication of the chipset it all makes sense that they maximise use of the CPU to minimise use of the more power hungry GPU. I feel its safe to assume most Switch 2 games with demanding graphics are upscaled for portable and for docked they will be upscaled from a higher native resolution as docked has a huge amount of extra power in wattage to use. Also on the small screen artifacts will be harder to see but on a big living room TV they will be easier to spot. Nintendo seems to have been completely logical with its approach to the hardware. Everything Nintendo have done makes sense I feel although I personally resent the high prices and fairly low performance of the hardware I feel commercially Nintendo have got everything right with regards profit margins.
