Says the individual that only cared to respond to the posters that suggested another poster saying the Japanese market is dead/dying. We responded to that poster with a thriving/increasing Nintendo market. You then made a comparison showing the highest generation in history compared to now. You realize you appear to be defending the idea the poster was right about a dead/dying Japanese market? Since we are ofcourse talking about the console market, how are you not understanding that just because PS is declining doesn't mean the market is dying? Nintendo is increasing along with don't we have reports of the PC market growing?

Fair enough, Maybe I jumbled some of my posts so my sentiment wasn't clear. I don't agree with that user, the very first thing I said was:

1. "The *Console* gaming market is certainly not dead but it has to be looked at as a holistic whole, not any individual platform or publisher....
In the digital age I'm not sure we ever got a clear picture with what is happening with Japanese software overall. I'm very curious to know whether its been stable, declining or increasing."

2. I had decline in my mind when I responded to you and you said "You can't sell more hardware in a declining market for one."

We agree it's not dead.

Just to be clear we do agree on the market isn't dead and there isn't enough proof the market isn't declining as a whole or increasing as a whole because we don't have the data. I did see those post from you and honestly always knew this is what you were getting at. Nintendo thriving doesn't prove the Japanese market is growing. I just want to point out I don't think a consolidating market = a declining market but I can understand why people do think that can be the same. Hard to judge because its a 3 man race with one of them always being niche (Xbox) and PS declining for years but with Nintendo growing, it's very hard to judge.

Also the other poster said that and you are right you can sell more hardware in a declining market but some people will just view it as consolidation especially with a competitor increasing.

That poster that said the Japanese market is dead conveniently doesn't view the western market as dead eventhough Xbox is dying without PS increasing. Shouldn't that suggest the western market is dying if they want to be consistent? This is why I wanted you to distance yourself from them, you are not like them. They are trolling while you want a legitimate conversation.
