Well, that's dumb. EA isn't going to do anything with those games, but instead of allowing others to take care, and profit, from them, they're just "nah", and now the games will be lost from Steam for the foreseeable future.

At least there's GOG.

Oh, and I don't know how to embed Bluesky posts.

You click the three dots below the post choose embed post from that menu then you just copy & pasted it.

We figured it out! The Steam version of LSL is licensed from Codemasters, which was recently purchased by EA, who maybe chose not to renew the license

The GOG versions are staying up, at least! But as with so many of these cases, it boils down to "rights nightmare"
