But the term “sold out” can mean different things if the amount of inventory is different.
Bloomberg estimates that the Switch 2's initial shipments will be between 6 and 8 million, a number that is said to be the largest in console history, so clearly different from the Wii U.
And we don't know if there was a massive boycott before the Wii U launch.
Switch 1 was criticized for being overpriced and so was Switch 2. And it sold out worldwide.
