Nah didn't happen with mine. Though I think that's because GameStop Canada and the US branch differ in these practices. 

However they did offer me a list of items to preorder from which is how I got reminded to take the Pro controller as well and Donkey Kong Bananza. 

@BasilZero You got one hell of a pre-order story to tell in the future 🎉 Congrats you're in luck after all

Also I did forget to say that there was a downpayment of 300CAD$. Which also explains why they didn't force pre-ordering other items 😅

Ah. Down-payment was only 80 including all the preorder stuff. 

The pro controller and camera were not available though.
