It doesn't *really* make sense because the title has been vacated or changed hands in sketchy circumstances plenty of times before.  But I still think it's a fun story idea to add a bit of drama. Although if the idea is to keep him having intentionally boring matches, idk if I really want to see that.

Is he over hyping it? Sure. But, that's kind of the point of pro-wrestling.

All I hope is it leads to a Summerslam main event rematch between him and CM Punk similar to what happened a decade or so ago
