With experts increasingly thinking that AGI is possible this decade there's a chance the next 5-10 years could be the most important period in the history of humanity. There's still a lot of uncertainty so maybe it still doesn't happen till decades from now but even then most people are not even remotely ready for how much the world could potentially change soon. People who are 10 today might be in a very different world when entering their 20's. Whether that world ends up being closer to a utopia or hell remains to be seen.
