They are worried about the launch and the price debate atm (already alot of PR about prices).
Watch it go up, after that 90 day freeze on tariffs Trump put in place, goes away.
In japan its sold for like 350$, and probably at a small loss.
Estimates are putting it in the 350-400$ range to build.
Meaning at 450$, they are selling it at like a potential 50$ profit only.
10% tarrifs, is probably like 40$ of that 450$ price.
Meaning now nintendo is only profitting like 10$ on each unit.... so they can "accept" that.
Once those 90 days pass, if Trump is serious about rising the tariffs again..... Nintendo will raise prices on their Switch 2.
They wont sell at a loss as a principle.
