Poor argument.
Nintendo's handhelds are just as stable as Sony's home consoles, and without as much reliance on 3rd party content. Nintendo's hybrids will probably prove even more stable.
Sony's home consoles are consistently at least solid in 1st party games and comfortably the best in 3rd party support (only X360 truly challenged it, and it was expressed in sales and marketshare). This is the primary reason why their consoles don't fluctuate too much, and why the Playstation brand is so strong today.
"Fanboyism" has nothing to do with it. Fanboys of every platform are just a loud minority. Playstation remains a great platform.
