Looking back at Nintendo's 2017 line-up all the new games released for Switch in it's launch year were announced in the switch direct they did in January 2017. BoTW, Arms, Odyssey, Xenoblade 2, MK8DX. Except fe warriors which  was announced the week after. But still all of its games were announced long before the system released.

The exception is Pokken Tournament DX which was announced in June 2017, a remaster.

Their E3 2017 presentation revealed games for 2018 and beyond like Kirby, Yoshi, Pokémon and Prime 4 (lol).

I don't know why people are expecting additional big announcements for 2025 games when Switch 1 didn't get that and launched earlier in the year.

We may get something but certainly nothing on the scale of a 3D Mario.
