The physical games without any game on them, are labled as such (Game-key title/card).
It then allows you to download the game from nintendo, once inserted into the Switch 2.
That doesn't mean all nintendo games will be like this.
Most probably won't, its jut 3rd parties being cheap arses going for cheap storage solutions instead of buying say a 64gb one.
Sony and Xbox have done simular stuff (and also 3rd party).
The weird stuff to me, is the claim that some Switch 2 titles, will only have Switch 1 game in there, and will need a digital download patch, to run the Switch 2 version. Supposedly this is what the new Zelda games are getting. You buy that 69$/79$ game, and its a switch 1 cartridge and game in there.
It requires you to go online, and install the game and patch it, before you can run it at higher resolutions ect.
People are like, why? Couldn't I just get a old Switch 1 cartridge and pay the 10-20$ upgrade fee instead then? and yeah.... you could.
So those Switch 2 physical boxes (for the zelda games), are kinda of meh (for collectors imo).
