Some of them already have some widescreen support (F-Zero). That was a niche feature during that era. Not sure how hard it would be to patch for other games though.

Oh yeah, the f-zero in that video is wide-screen, didn't even notice on my phone because black bars still lol. When it was showed in the switch 2 direct it was 4:3 like the other titles. Though the Zelda video is showing both 4:3 and wide-screen on both the GC and Switch 2 when it didn't support wide-screen on GC? Are we sure this guy is using Switch 2 footage and isn't just making fake comparison videos with dolphin? Lol.

Dolphin can widescreen hack any game, some games work very well, others have graphical issues mainly due to culling not taking into account the wider view, so object's at the edge of your view despawn. But when I've emulated GameCube I generally always use it.
