Why is this interesting? Super Mario Kart, the first game in the series, had Koopa in it.

I know Koopa, Dry bones, etc have been in past games.

I'm talking about the "New" listed characters, that they are all background characters and regular enemy characters.

No new supporting characters or boss characters (or mid bosses) from Mario or DK games are in the "New" line up.

Hopefully in DLC we'll see some.

Edit: Wait, that screenshot cant be from MKW, that DK design looks like the old design.

It's a fan image showing the characters that have been seen/confirmed by people. Not a screenshot from the new game. That's why DK has his old look.
