I feel like a lot of people are forgetting that a lot of companies have been putting a games launch behind an extra paywall over the last few years. More and more games are charging an extra 15-30 extra to play the game "early". The new doom cost €110 to play at launch. I'm not defending nintendo here either I still think they went too far with the pricing of games, but we do need to start treating all of this the same. When we let some things pass we are giving these companies permission to keep pushing further and further.
