Can't say I know many people that would buy a new system just to let it gather dust while they play far inferior versions on the older system. But that's your perogative.

I know what 900p and 4K look like, I have a PS5 as well as a Switch. Not even sure if my TV supports 120fps to be honest.

I'm an unusual person, how graphics work is one of my interests and I'm more fascinated seeing what can be squeezed out of my venerable old Switch before I retire it than just seeing a somewhat basic port to hardware that can do so much more.

I've been awaiting it since 2017 so getting it on the console I was promised it for way back then just feels "right". From a sentimental perspective, I also wanna send off my Switch on a positive note, and I can't think of a better swan song.

While I don't share your sentiment I can understand it.  I am curious if you played Breath of the Wild and if you played the WiiU version.  For me I was planning on being "wait and see" on the Switch after the WiiU.  I really liked the WiiU but .... 

I wanted the best possible experience with BotW.  My "wait and see" went right out of the window and within 5 minutes of seeing the BotW reveal I had a switch pre-ordered.
