I don't see MKW at $80 being a problem for Nintendo, much like how $70 was not a problem for TOTK. With MK8 DX, if you buy the booster course pass, you'd be spending a total of $85, and get 48 characters & 96 courses. So far, we know that World has at least 50 characters, and we already know of like 30+ courses. Also worth pointing out that MKW's courses look a lot better than the BCP and there's new elements. Of course, there will almost certainly be more stuff announced soon too.
Definitely doesn't seem to be due to tariffs, because they did a similar pricing situation with TOTK in 2023. Just Nintendo seeing what they can get away with lol.
