No one in their right mind was cogitating >40% tariffs. Not even if they were manufacturing in China, let alone Vietnam/Taiwan.

The Switch 2 is probably cutting pretty thin in hardware margins already. Portables with relatively modern tech aren't cheap.

Yeah, everyone is saying this is much worse than expected, so I doubt anyone has truly took into account the costs of tariffs before announcement. Dude went full nutso.
