These games are not using 4k quality assets lol... But I'm sure they feel comfortable with their current line up. Mario Kart is the system seller in their eyes.



As opposed to offering a huge quality jump over Switch 1, Nintendo seems to be focusing on scaling up the worlds & their interactivity whilst maintaining 60fps/1080p. I do think many of these games are working without any meaningful engine upgrades too. 

Good. This lets them get games out in a timely manner, which is a key to their success. Graphics whores can bitch about it all they want but real gamers do not want to wait 7 years for another new game in their favorite franchise.
