I also thought the Mario movie was great actually. 
As for the Zelda movie, I’m doubtful. It needs to have super high production values for it not to be super cheesy. High fantasy is a difficult genre, especially live-action, and there’s a fine between something good and something stupid like, say, Eragon or something.
