The overall architectural style of the Kremlin complex is very similar, including the Grand Kremlin Palace where Putin officially resides, and the bell tower of Ivan the Great. And for better or worse, it’s the most familiar part of the Kremlin/Red Square complex. 

It's also what comes up first when you google Kremlin and select images.

But yes, it's St Basil's Cathedral, the most iconic part of the Red Square.

Anyway the onion dome is iconic for Russia, a distinct part of Russian Orthodox church architecture. I found it kinda funny Survivor took the Onion Dome as theme for the current season. It's part of the tribe banners as well. Normally it's just a Roman style flag banner. Survivor switching empires ;)
