I was not expecting an AC game to be near the top of the best looking console games list half way into a gen, I've seen some footage of both large scale and small scale environments that are mind blowing abd all without the usual shit upscaling problems and image quality issues and very few bugs. I particularly love when Naoe rolls into a small village and things get tight, the way the environment is scaled, sort of realistically but also Fantasy like and the direction they went with that, of course ancient Japan is going to have old villages with moss cobbled roads and nature will be ahead of the citizens who are focused on farming and not always look pristine as it is so often presented. There is TLC in this title, in the details and the thought put into building those details that you can feel passion seeping in, something they haven't been able to express with the modern games that felt as if they were made on a factory assembly line.

If nothing else, Ubisoft knows how to make their games look pretty.
