So TOS2 was succesful, Namco wants to continue tales series on the Wii

Can someone explain what Tales are what? Like if certain games are connected or which are "Mothership" titles? Or if that is too time consuming, possibly divert me to a place where I could learn this?

I've only ever played Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Symphonia
