I probably haven't had Netflix in a couple of years and I don't miss it. If Netflix or any other service has several shows that I want to watch then I will sub for a month, watch the few things that interest me, then unsub. Otherwise, I watch Tubi, which is amazing for being free. Granted, I watch Youtube and ESPN+ (for the NHL) more than anything no matter what.

One thing I learned pretty quickly is that Netflix original movies are usually trash. They spend top dollar for a couple of big name actors then throw them into something completely forgettable. Amazon does the same thing. They're just churning out a product. The intent is simply to create content, which is enough to satisfy a lot of people. Just look a some of those reviews, they hand out 7/10 while suggesting that new viewers not go in with high expectations.

The reality is that consumers have been conditioned to accept mindless filler as a baseline.
