@NJ5 oh i get it...still new to all this lol

@Fishie what context was the quote meant to be in then (gears of war QA quote)

If its to do with performance, isn't it obvious that with the processing power of the ps3 will beat the 360 hands down (the day someone actually manages to make full use of it)!

I had a copy of Gears of War and at the time it was the most beautiful game i had ever seen. Although it was brilliant, the truth was it mostly took place in the dark. I remember when watching the film Pitch Black, the SFX people said using the dark helps them with their job since if you cant see it, then you dont have to give it much detail, no one will notice. After playing it again I realised the GoW done this a lot as well as have very small maps and limited colours on offer. What Epic done is very clever, they made something small, but gave it all the effort they could have to polish and perfect it.

At this point i was pretty much convinced the ps3 is a pile of hyped up junk until i bought Uncharted. After playing Uncharted, I realised if someone knows how to use the power of the cell, they can create games that are just stupidly amazing. GoW doesnt even come close to the Uncharted.

Even at E3 when the trailer for Killzone2 was shown. Majority of the world was not convinced anything like that would be capable on the current gen consoles. Now with new in game trailers etc the ps3 has proven that it has a lot of untapped potential to create some real next gen titles.

Whether or not it is in game studios who make these titles or not, the bottom line is, if ps3 is capable of handling the titles, then how will MS compete against it? To date it still can't make anything beautiful as Uncharted, how will it even stand a chance against Killzone 2 or the next God of War installment?
