It does feel like 40 series owners eating good. Every news that comes out just makes me glad I got a 4090 when I did. I will say however it feels like GN doesn't understand how Ray Tracing works as he compares it to physx that one day, Nvidia might abandon Ray Tracing the way they abandoned physX. But they really aren't in the same situation. PhysX is proprietary Nvidia tech that no one else can emulate where as Ray Tracing is built into Direct X where Nvidia's hardware architecture is simply superior. It's why the closer Intel or AMD gets to Nvidia's hardware RT implementation, the closer they get to Nvidia's RT performance. Where as with PhysX, the only option Radeon, Intel or RTX 50 series has is the garbage CPU method.

Honestly, this whole situation made me realize something I hadn't considered, snagging an old GTX card to run PhysX on my Radeon powered desktop rig. I have a few of those games and dropping like $80 on old GTX card would be worth it to me. I need to do it before all 15 RTX 50 Series owners drive up the price though.
