Microsoft is also working on combining Windows and Xbox in a way where there's a single store of games and an easier path for game developers to build titles that span across handhelds, console-like hardware, and PC gaming rigs.

Microsoft Isn’t Launching Its Xbox Handheld This Year, But Asus Might Be | The Verge

This is what I want.

Be able to continue using b/c and expand the current library future proofing the "Xbox" platform.

Probably the best route for them to take since Xbox as a pure console isnt worth it (for them sales wise I mean)

They got Activision/Blizzard, Bethesda and a lot of other IPs and sub companies under their umbrella so might as well.
