Now if only enough people could overpay for an extra 1fps so the 9800X3D can come back down in price.

That's why we also need Intel to be competitive.

The 5800X3D launched for $450, but it was soon found for $50 or $100 less than that and, for brief moments, even well below $300. Now? The 7800X3D has rarely dipped under $400, to the point that the 9800X3D launched to not only the same MSRP, but it was also the actual retail price at the time. Madness!

The 7800X3D was consistently below $400. I got mine for $360. The price didn't go back above $400 until a few months before the 9800X3D's launch due to scarcity. That said, the 9800X3D's pricing is a direct result of Intel being a non-factor. Honestly the Intel 13th Gen/14th Gen degradation issues are what help boost demand of the 7800X3D causing the aforementioned price increase in the first place.
