Nevermind, I see he immediately posted something as equally as pathetic 😂

But Trump is only acting out of 'self-defense', you're not allowed to defend yourself against self-defense!

The irony is all the trade he's 'defending' the USA for now is what he negotiated in his first term:

https://trumpwhitehouse.archives.gov/briefings-statements/president-donald-j-trumps-united-states-mexico-canada-agreement-delivers-historic-win-american-workers/

Why is he burning it all down now. And how are egg prices going to improve if he wants to dump USA farm products in Canada? Supply/demand, he should increase export tariffs instead of import tariffs so supply increases in the US...

Trump has no vision, just sees dollar signs now he can manipulate the markets for his own and his Billionaire buddy's gains.

It's kind of crazy how much the current situation in the US (and really, around the globe) resembles the TV show Babylon 5. It's almost like this old TV show is a metaphor for about 2015 onward.

The wave of authoritarianism across all the different civilizations.

The Narn regime was formerly under the control of the Centauri Empire, but broke away a while before the show. The more powerful Centauri Empire now invades the Narn regime with hopes of re-establishing their empire. The Earth Alliance and others are giving sanctuary to Narn refugees and providing weaponry to the Narn regime to fight back against the Centauri.

A new President takes control of Earth Alliance, he has some questionable agendas, and signs a non-aggression pact with the Centauri, cancelling all deals with the Narn.

And then things get very very dark.

For those unfamiliar with Babylon 5, it's a 1990s science fiction TV show set on a city in the stars intended as diplomatic neutral space for the various civilizations across the galaxy. And for Tolkien fans, the show was inspired by The Silmarillion, and has some Hobbit/Lord of the Rings references in there too.

Thanks for bringing that show up, it's been on my long term list to watch again. Since the complete series in on sale on blu-ray atm, ordered. 78 hours will be fun to watch again. (And in order and complete this time, I've only dabbled in and out of Babylon 5 when it was aired)
