Billionaire Elon Musk has suggested the US should leave NATO, as tensions between the US and its European allies continue to build.
Musk, the CEO of Tesla and head of the Department of Government Efficiency, reshared a post on X Sunday that read "Exit NATO now!"
"We really should," Musk wrote. "Doesn't make sense for America to pay for the defense of Europe."
These allies also contribute billions to your economy, spend billions on American military equipment, allow America to use their countries as launch pads for other military responses, help to keep America safe through intelligence collaboration, come to America's aid when America is attacked and basically the only reason why America has managed to become the #1 Global Superpower through the immense amount of soft power than came with America setting up shop in Europe.
But at this stage, I think we might as well just rip the band-aid off and America should just fuck off, it's not like it makes any difference anyway, Trump will not defend NATO in any capacity, leave or don't leave, it's all the same right now. At least leaving will only encourage Europe even stronger to triple down on European unity and investment, NATO will survive or something else will replace it, but without America, it will become a European led military alliance with one less Russian asset inside of it.
And finally people like Meloni will wake up that Trump is a lost cause.
