Speaking at a press conference on March 6, he flatly rejected any proposal to deploy European peacekeepers to enforce a future ceasefire in Ukraine. “There is no room for compromise on this issue,” Lavrov said, warning that Moscow would interpret any deployment of European forces as NATO sending troops to Ukraine.
