The is always controversy with classic Zelda tbh which led to the infamous Zelda game meme even BOTW is disliked by a number of old fans for its deviation to answer the question portable games give fans what they want as much as home versions as seen with the far more positive reception of ALBW compared to SS, this is all because of OOT which ironically as a Zelda game did nothing to change anything in the formula it was the execution of the jump to 3D that made it other worldly but I'll leave it at that because that's a topic that will have me ranting about OOT fans pre BOTW.
I agree that MH's growth is amazing I see it as equally amazing as GOW and Zelda which is is a very good thing only R* stands above them in growth tbh.
