Go for the Insect glaive, it has a medium level learning curve and if you go for fast insects it's a speedy weapon. Mix between gun and easily the most mobile weapon, changes the game so much from any other weapon it feels like a different game but you can get the main idea of the weapon from a 15 minute YouTube video. It's so fun, I wouldn't play Monster Hunter if I had to play with other weapons. |
Funny that you say that, because I am actually using the Insect Glaive. The game recommended it after I answered some questions. So here I am, jumping around like a mad man and waiting for those colors in Slot 1, 2 and 3 to get filled up for my super move. At least I figured that out. Sometimes I land on top of a monster, which looks cool as hell. But I don't know when and how that happens, lol. It just happens by accident, like a lot of things when I fight monsters. =D
I am also quite overwhelmed by the options for gear and stuff. Plus meals and whatnot. I end up doing something, but I have no idea if I actually have a benefit from it.
