This image is a big deal because it diverts from Scholz's stance who kept repeating that Ukraine must not lose this war and acted accordingly. The CDU outright stating that Ukraine must win is a welcome surprise.
The most recent update on Germany's election results have the BSW party fall just short of the 5.0% mark, so a two-party coalition between the CDU and SPD is possible. The SPD will reorganize their leadership after the disappointing result for them, so there's a chance that the new top people in the SPD are going to go along with the mantra of "Ukraine must win."
While Trump is undoubtedly a scumbag, his presidency also means that the other major leader besides Scholz who stepped on the brakes to prevent Ukraine from winning is out of the game. Perhaps it's misguided to be optimistic right now after being let down so often by the collective West, but I prefer to have that attitude over giving up and giving into despair.
Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.
