Prior to the pandemic I used to play a lot more music out in bars and house concerts. Many of the performers I used to play along with have left my area or stopped playing as much. The local scene has been replaced by nothing but cover bands and artists and going to see local music isn’t nearly as fun as it used to be. I still enjoy writing and playing, though I don’t do it nearly as much.
I don’t know if you’d call it a hobby, but I used to be really passionate about picking up litter and I started having events. Since ‘21 when I lost my regular job because of COVID (they closed my store) it’s not my main job, so I guess it’s not as much a hobby as a career now.
I also enjoy movies (Fincher, Nolan, Wes Anderson to name a few) and TV shows (Breaking Bad, Ozark, Succession).
But gaming, especially during the Switch era, has absolutely become my main hobby. I used to think I’d grow out of it or make it less of a priority, but no matter how busy my life got I still managed to find time to game 3-4 hours a day.
