This is an MEP but apparently he isn't a great source so take it with a grain of salt but who knows with the current climate. I could see Europe stupidly caving to pressure to keep American troops in Europe even though they'll just get backstabbed at a later date, I could see them throwing Ukraine to the wolves to save their own skin in a short-sighted move, but I hope I am wrong.

He was often interviewed as an expert due to his position before becoming a MEP, so it's possible he has some connections. Our prime minister, who is from the same party, denies having such information, so at the very least this doesn't seem to be exactly common knowledge. Personally I'm just going to wait and see, but all things considered, this does sound worryingly plausible to me...
