You need to get out of your bubble. The top 4 best selling games by revenue in the USA last year aren't even on the Switch. The amount of gigantic titles that have skipped the Switch is huge. It's fine to have Switch as your primary platform, but to claim that Switch is where gaming as a whole is at and that other platforms are pathetic is so far removed from reality. Nintendo themselves are the only ones pushing huge numbers on the Switch. Your personal likes and dislikes have made you completely lose perspective, Switch is just a part of a humongous industry. In 2024 alone you have massive titles like College Football, Helldivers 2, Black Myth Wukong, Palworld and Black Ops 6 all 20m+ sellers (or definitely on their way there) skipping Switch. |
The thing is, Fortnite alone is bigger than stuff like CoD. That is what many people are missing, the biggest third party games these days is stuff like Fortnite, Apex etc, games that came out on Switch. So that is why Switch basically had the really important games that they needed to have to hit it out big.
