I don't care about the console wars, I hardly pay attention to console sales. What I do care about is people being dicks to staff like Trunks, I believe he is fair and does as good of a job as he can with the information he has available on a bare minimum wage, without Trunks we would have no estimates at all, nor would we have any news articles, it is fair to say he is a vital reason the site is still alive. He never gets confrontational with anyone and yet somehow I see multiple people even on this website being a dick towards him, it is very annoying.

By all means, discuss the estimates and respectfully debate them, provide new information when available and Trunks will listen, but don't be a dick about it, if you want to be a dick about it then feel free to go and create your own estimation website. Now I didn't have to respond like this, I'd strongly suggest that you move on and reflect, which you should have done after my 1st post.

What's annoying here is you using your moderator status to throw insults around and derailing a thread instead of using the private messaging on this board.

Moderators often post in threads to make warnings due to a users behaviour, so yes, I am using my Moderator status to tell you to stop being an ass towards a member of staff, if you don't want to be insulted then don't be an ass. I made a indirect post to tell people to stop being asses, I didn't directly respond to you but clearly you realised it was about you, perhaps you already knew you was being an ass, which resulted in you responding to me, if you simply took it on the chin then we wouldn't be having this detour conversation.

Given your responses, I'm pretty sure a private message would have gone nowhere except result in more defensiveness except privately and instead of apologising in response to my post, you've instead opted to become extremely defensive, and given you didn't respond to my question, I will assume the second quote was also a dig at Trunks/VGChartz.

Often I decide to instead of moderating people, give them a bit of leniency and make in-thread posts instead to address the issue, leaving no moderator record on the profile, I will simply to tell people to knock their behaviour off, but it seems like some, like yourself, would rather a moderation, I could have easily booted you from the thread instead, is that what you'd prefer? Or do you want to suck it up and move on?

If you decide to suck it up and move on then don't respond to this post any further and they'll be no more "derailing"
