I think people are taking too many liberties with these numbers, there really is nothing concrete to be concluded from either side. I kind of suspect the Series XS is closer to 30m but I have absolutely no solid proof. If I were to guess I would probably assume the error occurred when Xbox revealed the 21m at that conference in 2023. At the time the number was concluded to be a sell-through number up to March 31st, and I’d probably guess that was actually a shipped number. That would account for maybe around 1m units(no idea what Xbox gap between shipped and sold is), and then subsequent numbers would all be slightly higher since they are mostly based on percentage changes from the previous year.

However, Trunks made a good point about using US sales as a percentage of overall sales, and since that number is quite consistent I would be quite reluctant to change the number greatly from that ~50% baseline without solid proof.

It’s all still just guessing though. The AMD number is too vague to really say anything for certain.
