According to The New York Times, they're slapping tariffs on goods from Republican red and swing states, hitting jobs and businesses where it hurts. The goal? Maximum pressure. Basically, Canada just put on its nicest sweater and said, "Sorry, but this is gonna sting." They've already started removing alcohol made in red states from their shelves.
