From what I’ve observed, it seems Nintendo has chosen to mostly avoid DLC which doesn’t greatly add to the original experience. They’ll do free/paid updates to their multiplayer games such as with Smash Bros Ultimate, MarioKart 8 Deluxe, NSO, Splatoon, all Mario sports games, etc., but rarely do they ever come back to add to single player experiences. Zelda BotW and SMOdyssey are the only two games I can think of where they have done this on NSW (unless you want to include M+R, though that seems to have been more of a Ubi decision).
